In the Norse legends, arguably the most strongest of the gods identified in the sagas is Thor. Thor not only possessed the physical strength beyond compare, he possessed a mental strength that was equally powerful, giving him the power to see through Loki's schemes and shapeshifting. Equally valuable to physical strength is the mental ability to maintain a control of that strength.
